Yesterday and today, 30 Ultra Energy UK colleagues in two teams volunteered to deliver a day of practical support to our nearby therapy farm.
High Mead Farm enables people living with mental health issues, and physical and mental disabilities to engage in an array of interesting agricultural activities.
Our achievements on the farm included carefully and safely moving a corrugated iron pig pen to the other end of the farm, preparing wood for recycling, animal husbandry (i.e. 'mucking out') and tending to crops being grown in the farm's polytunnels.
Supporting the farm this week is the first step in rekindling the relationship we initiated with its team just before Covid, when we donated the money required to build its new farm shop.
